SUMMARY:Speaker – George Robertson: The Snows of Kilimanjaro
DESCRIPTION:\nGeorge is well known to our club and is a regular speaker at Camera Clubs around the UK. We are very pleased to have George back with us this session to take us through another of his mountaineering experiences. As well as wonderful photography, George shares his experiences guiding teams through some of the world’s most hazardous terrains.\n\n\n\n“An award winning Photographer, International Mountain Leader and World Traveller based near Glasgow, Scotland.\n\n\n\nI have been fortunate to visit many different remote and beautiful areas and gain a varied perspective on our planet whilst leading mountaineering expeditions. The beauty, remoteness and challenge of travelling in the high mountain areas has always attracted me. Through the interaction of the light with the natural landscape I have tried to capture my memories from my travels.\n\n\n\nMy images are not limited to the mountains and I enjoy photographing travel, landscape, wildlife and street.\n\n\n\nI like to work in both colour and black and white with my images. In 2017 and in 2020 my images won the Urban View category of Take a View, UK Landscape Photographer of the Year competition.”\n\n\n\nMore details of George’s work can be seen on his website below.\n\n\n\nGeorge Robertson ( https://georgerobertsonphotography.com )\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
