Speaker – Douglas Annan: Old and New Glasgow
Douglas will visit the club to present on his family’s historic business, T & R Annan & Sons, set up by his great, great grandfather in 1855. The company took many iconic images of Glasgow, including famous portraits of David Livingston and Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The presentation will cover the history of the family business and Douglas will also show case his own photography. There will be much old camera equipment for members to peruse.
Several members from the club saw Douglas present part of this talk at an event in East Kilbride Library last year. He is an excellent speaker and we look forward to welcoming him to the club.
At this presentation we will be collecting donations for a local food bank, so please bring some goods. along. (Pasta, Tinned goods etc…). The link below gives some background to the business.
